Elton John headed to RBC Center

Posted January 19, 2012

Elton John will play his hits at the RBC Center in Raleigh on Friday, March 16.

Tickets, which start at $37, go on sale Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com, the RBC Center box office and charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000. A service charge will be added to each ticket. And there is an eight ticket limit per customer.

Elton and his band will be playing his classics like "Rocket Man," "Your Song" and "Bennie and the Jets."

I'm excited for this show! Heard he puts on a great concert. I've seen him on TV but never in person. Anyone excited to see Elton?

You haven't heard Elton until you have heard him live. Hearing him on the radio doesn't compare to in person. What a piano player! When I saw him one time he did about a 15 minute version of H. Cat that was amazing. I think the Elton John concert was about the best concert I have ever been to. He is a showman. I couldn't spell out the whole word H. Cat, it didn't pass the comment filter. Might be offensive I guess.

seen him twice, both times with Billy Joel.

The experience is very international sensation. He's big, its hearing a master of his art before your eyes. Seen him outside years ago in Clemson's Death Valley. Also at RBC.

A Billy Joel fan, Elton blew him away I thought. his music is just bigger.

You are aware, of course, that Elton John performed at Rush Limbaugh's latest wedding?

"this is a political campaign appearance. Anyone who goes to see him perform is supporting that agenda"- dumbest post EVER

Have seen him countless times and he's one of the BEST live shows you could ever treat yourself to- Prince being the other. Can't wait!!!

I've seen Elton John 4 times, the last time being the tour that he shared with Billy Joel. robjustrob is probably right. The fact that he has thousands of fans in N.C.alone, both gay and straight and has a music career spanning 40 years with enough hits to do a 6 hour concert, and he'll make a lot of money has nothing to do with him doing a concert here. Oh yeah, he also has two Broadway smash hits.robjustrob-if you have kids, I hope you didn't let them see The Lion King when it came to DPAC cause it was a covert attempt raise gay awareness. Although Simba did end up with a cute lioness, not one of the other male lions.
