Krispy Kreme Challenge changes route

The Krispy Kreme Challenge, which combines the thrills of donut-eating with the agony of running 5 miles, has been steadily growing every year.

Organizers say they worked with Raleigh police to modify the route to reduce congestion caused by inbound and outbound runners on some of the narrower stretches.

Registration for this year's race is all filled up! All 7,700 spots have been taken, organizers said Monday.

Proceeds go to North Carolina Children's Hospital.

why avoid it? park the car and stretch the legs hit up hillsborough street and grab a bite to eat.

It would make sense to include in the article, the date and time of the Race, so citizens can avoid that area.
