Legend LaBelle coming to DPAC

Rhythm and blues diva Patti LaBelle is scheduled to perform at the Durham Performing Arts Center on April 15. Tickets go on sale to the public Jan. 20 online at DPACnc.com, at the box office at 123 Vivian St. and via Ticketmaster.

"Nobody commands the stage like Patti LaBelle," says promoter Sulaiman Mausi. "The fans are guaranteed to be blessed with a memorable performance."

LaBelle's illustrious career has spanned over 50 years notching hits in a variety of sounds ranging from classic girl-group pop to funk to lush ballads. Her hits include such iconic songs as "Lady Marmalade," "If You Only Knew," "New Attitude," and "On My Own," a duet with Michael McDonald.

    Just make sure you are NOWHERE near her limo and her driver (say at least 50 feet?) or may have a lawsuit on your hands. She is definitely a Diva!1
