The Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed the start of their upcoming North American tour after lead singer Anthony Kiedis injured his foot, concert promoter Live Nation said Wednesday.

Kiedis recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The band was supposed to perform at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on Jan. 25, the RBC Center in Raleigh on Jan. 27 and the Greensboro Coliseum on Jan. 31.

The Raleigh show has been rescheduled for April 4. The Peppers will play Charlotte on April 6 and Greensboro on April 9.

Tickets for postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates. Tickets are on sale now through Live Nation and at the venue box offices.
