Posted December 13, 2011

— "American Idol" winner and Garner native Scotty McCreery will be signing copies of his debut album, "Clear as Day," at his hometown Best Buy on Thursday night.

Scotty will be signing copies of the CD, which must be purchased from the Best Buy, located at 120 Shenstone Lane, from 7-9 p.m. He will only be signing the CD and nothing else.

The store will be giving out wristbands on Thursday to customers who purchased the album there. A receipt will be required to get a wristband.

Up to 900 wristbands will be handed out Thursday before the signing.

cocheese321, He could have gone to Cd warehouse in Smithfield or Edward Mckay in Raleigh

Dwntwnboy, I agree with you 100% but sadly the little guy CD stores are practically extinct. At the very least, it's at Best Buy Vs. Wally World.

While not a fan and wouldn't attend such a cluster of an event- do wish he had followed a "shop local" mentality to promote his CD. With star power comes the power to help those small local businesses that normally can't compete with Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Come on Scotty- help out the little guy!

Wonder if he is going to sing?

Wow. Bunch of cranky, middle-aged, internet-nursing folks beating up a local teenager. Didja have a bad day and thought y'all could just step on a good kid (FROM GARNER!)?

Go check your TV dinner, and find some negative news to comment on y'all. The rest of us kinda like that a local boy's done good.

    - I am with you. Just think of what this could have done for a Mom and Pop store.

Once again a new artist has gone to the BIG BOX to promote his album. It would have been nice going to a local Mom & Pop music store.
Help out the small man , the BIG BOX don't care about you.

Defiant, U-haul just called. They have your truck ready when for your move from Garner. Won't take a check since your last one bounced when you moved there. Cash only big boy!

Ripcord- Clay is on the phone and wants to know what time you'll be there for dinner. He is tired of you being late! And dont' forget the roses you promised him!

    I meant Defiant. Thank you.
