The Capital City Clauses are hosting their 18th Annual Jingle Ball this Thursday at the Marbles Kids Museum.

The night of food, drinks and music, is a fundraiser for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Cheer Program. Just bring an unwrapped toy for a child (newborn to age 12), valued at $20 or a $30 cash or check donation.

The group is hoping to collect 3,500 toys this year.

The party is open to anyone 21 years or older. Don't forget to bring a photo ID.

If you are into cycling, the Tour De Toys bike ride is Saturday in downtown Raleigh.

Just bring your bike, helmet and a new toy to donate to participate in the 12-mile or 6-mile rides.

The toys will be given to families staying at The Women’s Center of Wake County, which provides a safe place for women and their children who would otherwise be homeless and helps them get back on their feet.

All riders will begin and end at Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Children under 16 must have a parent present to co-sign the necessary forms.

On-site check-in begins at 9 a.m. at Natty Greene's, but you can make sure you have a spot by registering online by Friday. The 12-mile ride starts at 10 a.m. and the 6-mile ride at 10:30 a.m.

Registered riders will have a chance to win donated prizes totaling $1,500.

If you decide you want to grab a bite to eat at Natty Greene’s, the restaurant will donate a percentage of your bill to The Woman’s Center.
