STOMP is back - and with special offers, to boot

Posted November 10, 2011

Hide your trashcans people, because STOMP is back in town!

If it isn't nailed down, it's fair game for this entourage as "the eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments – matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps – to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms", according to the official local performance website.

Billed as a "high octane, dance infused, percussive pandemonium", STOMP makes a stop at Raleigh's Progress Energy Center, presented by Broadway Series South, for a special limited engagement NEXT weekend. There are four performances scheduled over the two day appearance: Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 19 at 5 p.m., Nov. 19 at 9 p.m., and a final performance on Nov. 20 at 3 p.m.

We are giving 10 lucky winners the chance to attend the Nov. 18 show, accompanied by a guest, for free! You can enter using the form at the bottom of this post. The contest ends on Monday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.

That is too cool, Chairman - what an experience!

I went to see STOMP years ago in Washington DC for my birthday with a friend. They had a part where they get the audience to join in by snapping their fingers. I am able to do both hands loud, they brought me up on the stage. . . it was a great time, and it's an incredible show - what they can do is amazing!
