'Tornado Alley' will blow you away

This is mother nature like never-before seen. I highly recommend making "Tornado Alley" part of your next visit to downtown Raleigh.

Last Friday I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of WRAL 3D Theater's first feature,"Tornado Alley," a film by storm chaser Sean Casey highlighting his 8-year study of twisters in America's heartland.
The 20 minute film is a heart-pounding adventure from beginning to end and well worth a visit to the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, where the theater is located.

Sean and crew take you on wild ride in the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle), which Sean made himself, directly into the funnel cloud with winds reaching nearly 200 miles per hour.

This is mother nature like never-before seen.  I highly recommend making "Tornado Alley" part of your next visit to downtown Raleigh.

Show times are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, you can catch it at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

You'll be able to purchase same day tickets at the museum box office. "Tornado Alley" will run through early 2012.
