Two new restaurants coming to RBC Plaza

Posted October 28, 2011

After sitting empty for nearly three years, two street-level retail spaces under the RBC Plaza are being converted into vibrant dining options.

Zinda, a concept from Eschelon Hospitality (Sono, Mura, Oxford, Cameron Bar & Grill), will offer "new Asian" fare and will be located on the Fayetteville Street side.

The northeast corner of the building will be filled by Oro, an upscale tapas restaurant with heavy influence from concepts in Washington D.C., most notably Sax and Sei.

We hear ya, Rebecca! We are working to sprinkle in as much local flavor, as possible. While Downtown Raleigh and Durham seem to have the most frequent news and happenings to share, don't ever hesitate to drop us some tips from your favorite places: OutandAbout@WRAL.com. Thanks!

How excellent. It sure is starting to bustle on Fayetteville Street on the weekend evenings.

@rebecca... is there anything outside the the beltline besides Applebees, Fridays, or Chilis? ;-)

I have read through your blog and I notice that almost every entry, with the exception of a couple, is regarding downtown or Durham. Raleigh is a large, spread out city. Not everyone lives and/or chooses to eat downtown. I would like to see a little variety.
