Ah the good ol' days.

Wrap up at the office around 5, snag a cooler and head downtown for "Live After 5."

Unfortunately those days are long gone in Raleigh.  Tonight, however, could mark the beginning of something as exciting as "Music in the Market" opens up in City Market.

Music in the Market is a free concert series, running every Thursday from now until November 17th, from 5-9 pm.

The band lineup thus far:

Oct 6: Effigy
Oct 27: New Sweat

Music in the Market is a family-friendly event and will proceed rain or shine.  Judging from my current view of downtown I'd say we're in for some fantastic weather this evening.

Music in the Market will benefit Circle Takes the Square Foundation.  CTS provides “Gifts for the gifted,” giving the opportunity for gifted artists and athletes to achieve greatness, despite their social or financial setbacks.

Cold beer, great people and even better live music?  I'll see you there.
