Carolina Ale House finally moving forward with Glenwood South location

Great news for downtown Raleigh!

Carolina Ale House has officially submitted its site plan for city approval.  Once the city approves the plan demolition will begin.

The new 3-story location, complete with a rooftop bar, will sit on the corner of Glenwood Ave. and Tucker St. at 500 Glenwood Ave.

The Ale House has a great following and should usher in some new faces to the downtown scene.

Whoever wrote this obviously loves Ale House, and forgot about commas in their haste to post this!

wow...raleigh downtown is not a safe place to go or be? get out of your shell and enjoy life. the homeless stay in one are, not Glenwood. Crime rate is minimal. oh well, stay in suburbia and enjoy Applebees, one less person on the wait list. and God bless stay away from DC if you're scared of Raleigh

Thats awesome, Tylers will be a nice addition for downtown. Raleigh is a very safe place, I never have any problem with the homeless. Superman, please stay home and do not bring your bad vibes downtown. Thanks

i would much rather go to Tobacco Road any day...food is great and it's just a lot classier...

Guess we can now expect more homeless and drunks downtown. Downtown will be known for its bars. Not a safe place to go or be.

Eventually will be able to do an old fashioned pub crawl in Dtown Raleigh. It really is good to see all the bars and restaurants in a wider area of downtown. 30 years ago the only place to get beer and pizza was on Hillsborough St across from Moo U. There was nothing downtown.

Oh boy, more mediocre bar food is just what is needed downtown. Excellent.

Finally, seems like the sign announcing them coming has been up for 3 years.
