Thanks to your generosity, WRAL’s Coats For The Children campaign will make this winter much warmer for the children of our communities.
Our 2012 campaign wrapped up Dec. 31st and was our biggest collection in 24 years! Together, we raised $90,000 and collected 10,000 coats and 1,000 for Salvation Army families.
The Salvation Army, along with our community sponsors, Jiffy Lube and First Citizens Bank, thank you for spreading warmth AND joy to local families in need.

There are five ways to donate this year!
1. Donate new or gently used coats and new toys at participating Jiffy Lube and First Citizens Bank by December 31st
Find your nearest location using the search box in the "Drop-Off Locations" section below.
2. Text message a donation
Text “Coats” to 85944 to donate $10 to the Coats for the Children campaign. The donation will be added to your mobile bill. Messaging & data rates may apply. Go to hMGF.org/t for terms and help. WRAL.com will match every $10 donation, up to a $5,000 total!
3. Make a monetary donation online with PayPal
From now until Dec. 31, click the "Donate" button below, or any of the donation level images, to make a secure online donation using your credit card.

Warm hat, gloves, and scarf | $10
Fill a stocking | $20
Five pairs of socks or tights, a sweater, or jeans | $25

For as little a $5, your donation can provide a warm hat, gloves and scarf for a child in need this holiday season. For a generous donation of $100 or $200, The Salvation Army can feed a family for a week or provide a brand new bike for a child in our area. Any size donation you can provide can be put to use by The Salvation Army to help those in need.
4. Send a check
Checks should be made payable to The Salvation Army at:

5. Volunteer your time
It takes lots of people to help sort coats and other clothing. For more information on volunteering, call WRAL-TV Community Relations Director Loretta Harper-Arnold at 919-821-8652.

During our telethon Dec. 14, 2012, callers who pledge at certain gift levels get thank-you gifts. Check out the complete list.
