Any house with the garage pushed out in front qualifies, in my book. It's like "LOOK! We have a garage! Oh, and by the way, there's some rooms attached." Silly-looking "snout houses".

Harrelson Hall on NC State campus is high on the ugly list. It looks like an alien space craft landed. And from what I remember, it is as dismal on the inside as it is ugly outside.

The visitors center at the Harris Nuclear Plant is the ugliest I know of.

Anybody remember "Building of the Week" on "Rob and Bill's Talk Show"? (that parking deck in Raleigh would never make it, it looks like a 1940 exercise in Soviet Bleakness and Utility....couldn't they at least hang a big 'ol TV on the side of it, like the one in Charlotte?) ;)

Raleigh has a few downtown that are in my opinion rough on the eyes as well.
