The Love Language

The Hopscotch music festival might be the greatest thing to happen to downtown Raleigh in my lifetime. It’s awesome to have to struggle with the decision of which band you want to go see.

One band I won’t struggle with seeing… The Love Language.

I’ve seen their show before, but I can’t wait to see it again. Especially now that I’ve gotten so familiar with their newest album, Libraries, fresh from the local label, Merge Records.

When I first attempted to track The Love Language down I didn’t think I’d have much success, considering their recent popularity nationwide. Turns out they were excited to work with me and couldn’t have been more humble.

This post is more about their feelings on the Hopscotch music fest. Even a band as talented as them can really appreciate what Raleigh has to offer for three days in September.

I hope this gives you a good sense what The Love Language is trying to accomplish. Go check them out if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed.

Their "Heart to Tell" is my favorite song of the year by anybody, local or otherwise.
