Refreshing alternative energy

Posted June 3, 2010

Some people are coffee addicts.  My vice is diet soda.  This morning, I'm slurping a few cans of Tab, but usually I'm polishing off a bottle of my beloved Coke Zero.

Now, I can think of few things more tragic than seeing a 2 liter bottle of Coke Zero being sprayed all over the ground, but the guys who popularized the Diet Coke/Mentos reaction have upstaged their old act.  They used 108 2-liter Coke Zero bottles and 648 Mentos to push a "car" about 220 feet -- only about 6 of which is actual thrust from the Coke and Mentos.

Enjoy the video right here.

They still make Tab, Brian? I remember it's popularity way back when. Anyway, that was a funny video, especially when they're staring at the moon after their successful experiment...LOL Thanks for sharing.
