There's a holiday for that

Posted March 17, 2010

The folks at Woman's Day have assembled a list of some of their favorite wacky holidays, which are among the 12,000 listed in Chase's Calendar of Events.  From Air Conditioner Appreciation Week to Crackers over the Keyboard Day, it's clear that there's always something to celebrate.

For all you junior broadcasters out there, this list will provide an excellent foundation for you to start hosting a morning radio show.

I can't believe Festivus didn't make it on the list. Talk like a Pirate Day is pretty mainstream these days.

I made up one yesterday ... DSTT ... Daylight Savings Time Tuesday ... the Tuesday after the time change. It alway seems to really hit me harder on that Tuesday.

You'd be surprised how many people know about the Talk Like A Pirate day around here - I was! Guess it's because of ECU. Thanks for sharing those holidays - they were funny. I'm surprised Hallmark hasn't come up with a card for all of them.
