Greenscreen grandmas

Posted January 6, 2010

Here at the big TV station, we have a giant green wall (we call it "chromakey") from which we do weather and traffic.  The control room uses TV magic to replace the green color with an image, so while I'm standing there looking at a green wall, you see a map behind me.

Tour groups love to play with the chromakey when they visit WRAL -- and these grandmas seem to enjoy the green screen, too!

This is a visual reminder that grannies were once young too, and can know how to have fun & enjoy life!! Gray hair, glasses, wrinkles do not necessarily change the person within.
