I'm compiling a list of the top entertainment stories this year. What are your thoughts?

Obviously, Michael Jackson's death needs to be at the top of the list. What about the saga of Jon and Kate? Kanye West and Taylor Swift?

American Idol was pretty great this year with Chapel Hill's Anoop Desai, breakout star Adam Lambert and winner Kris Allen.

What about some of your favorite TV shows and movies of the year?

I am loving "White Collar," "Modern Family," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Leverage," "Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Psych." My favorite movie this year was "The Hangover."
