Three for one!

Posted September 30, 2009

We've got to move some inventory here at the Siteseeing warehouse.  Our loss is your gain.  We're offering a three-for-one deal today.

First, you'll notice the picture on this page.  WRAL art director Bill Burch snapped that one at the Fayetteville International Folk Festival this weekend.  I was signing autographs at the WRAL tent, which was just across from the stage, when a lady with the Bavarian Brass Band lured me into a polka.  I was awful.  She was so good, I don't think anyone noticed me clumsily flailing around in 3/4 time.   I redeemed myself later with the chicken dance.  We had a good time at the festival!

Elsewhere on the Web, Woman's Day has put together a nice collection of some of the world's biggest foods.  From the world's heaviest carrot to the world's largest slab of fudge, there's something for every palate.

Also, check out this beautiful video of a scuba diving a freshly flooded meadow in Austria.

Brian - the scuba diving is still linked to the biggest foods. Can you fix?

I'll find out, axepack. Send me an e-mail bshrader-at-wral.com, and I'll let you know.

It's so hard to find athletic shoes that don't look like they've been assimilated by the Borg.

Brian, good attempt at the polka. It usually helps me if I have a few beers before my relatives drag me out to polka during the holidays.

BTW - What kind of NB shoes are those? I'm digging the colors.
