Anoop Desai

What happened to Anoop?

Michael Jackson has so many songs to choose from, so why did Anoop Desai select the vocally unchallenging “Beat It?”

Anoop told the judges last night he was trying to show his high energy – similar to last week’s performance of Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative,” which earned him a spot in the Top 13.

According to DialIdol, which calculates the busy signals for each contestant and has been fairly accurate in the past, Anoop may get a chance to redeem himself.

That begs the question, who should go home tonight? My vote is for Megan Joy Corkrey who sang “Rockin’ Robin.” DialIdol predicts Jorge Nunez as the lowest vote getter.

There is one thing that could change everything – the judges said there will be a twist tonight. My bet is that America’s vote will determine one of the contestants leaving and the judges will select a second person.

who cares

Anoop just had one of those 'bad night' performances on AI. He should get another chance.

Anoop just had one of those 'bad night' performances on AI. He should get another chance. He is still better than Michael, Kris, Matt, and Megan. Adam is good, but his tone is not in my taste. Danny's good as well, but they make him out be a lot better than he actually is. As for Von and Ricky, I don't think they were robbed because I agree with Simon saying they were indulgant. Anoop deserved to be there over those two.

Anoop doesn't do anything for me.

I think Adam and Danny are the best guys. I do hope Meagan goes home, I'm tired of her "I gotta go to the bathroom" dances.

I thought the two worst last night were Jasmine Jorge

I believe the "twist" is that American Idol is going to a similar format to Dancing with the Stars where the public's vote is only part of the total vote. The judges will also vote each week on who leaves the show.

Anoop needs to lose his gangsta mentality, someone has convinced Anoop that he is way cooler than he really is. As for Megan, she has such a unique voice, she needs to stay, there are many others who should go first. I am not fond of Lil Rounds just because her name makes me mad.

Anoop did fine. If anyone acted anything like Michael Jackson it was Adam with some of his moves and high notes.

Ryan kind of made it sound that way to me too carnival

i agree also

I completely agree, carnival glass.
