5. Has Clay Aiken parted ways with record label RCA? Aiken’s representative confirmed to People magazine on Friday that Aiken is no longer with RCA Records. No word on why he split with the label.
4. More Idol drama: Contestant Ricky Braddy’s fansite was shut down this week amid allegations the Web site gave Braddy, who was barely featured on the show, an unfair advantage. Braddy, who claims Nashville, Tenn., as his hometown on the Idol Web site, said on Tuesday’s performance show that he is from Elizabeth City, N.C. Braddy’s fansite was moved to a different site - Missing Square. Apparently Braddy’s parents mentioned the name of the original site - Braddy Bunch Online - inadvertently when they were on Tuesday night's show.
3. Anoop mania continues. Though Anoop didn’t make it to the top 12 on this week’s “American Idol,” he did manage to create a cultural phenomenon – the Anoop dance.
2. Chris Brown released a statement of remorse. He is under investigation for an attack on a woman, who sources identified as his girlfriend Rihanna, in the hours before the Grammy awards. A startling photo of a bruised Rihanna appeared on TMZ this week. Hours after the photo appeared, Rihanna released a statement thanking her fans for their support.
