Site SearchUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill grad student Anoop Desai will be singing for his life - OK not his "life" but definitely in an effort to move forward to the next round of "American Idol."
Desai, 22, will be competing against 11 other contestants, including Tatiana Nicole Del Toro (aka the laughing, screaming woman) and Danny Gokey, who auditioned with his best friend (who didn't make it) and talked about the death of his wife.
The episode airs tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox. Voting starts after the show ends (around 10 p.m.) and lasts for two hours.
Anoop's friends will be holding a viewing party at Players on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill tonight, Desai's publicity manager Chris Melly said.
