I downloaded the new Microsoft SongSmith software yesterday. You sing a melody into it, and it spits out a chord arrangement. It's pretty impressive, and as a songwriter, I think it has some usefulness as a "intelligent notepad." If you know nothing about writing songs, I think you'd have a lot of fun with it.
Well, a guy took graphs of the the major stock indices, and changed the points into notes. He fed them into SongSmith and it spit out a song.
