Anoop Dawg

Tonight is the final time Chapel Hill’s Anoop Desai will perform for the “American Idol” judges before they officially announced the top 36 contestants.

If Anoop makes it to the top 36, he will be singing for America's votes.

Anoop supporters will be gathering for a viewing party Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Siena Hotel on Franklin Street, Anoop’s publicity manager Christopher Melly said. The show airs from 8 - 9 p.m. on Fox 50.

For the results show Wednesday night, a combined watch party for Anoop and UNC/Duke basketball fans will be held at Players, Melly said.

Don’t forget to watch the Entertainment wrap-up this week. I will fill you in on all the “American Idol” action and what’s next for Anoop.
