State Fair Music

The State Fair starts tomorrow! Want to catch some music while you’re there? In addition to a variety of shows going on around the fairgrounds, there are several “big” shows going on at Dorton Arena. Here’s the schedule, all shows start at 7:30pm:

Thursday October 16: Josh Turner $22

Friday October 17: Jason Aldean $15

Saturday October 18: Toby Mac $10

Sunday October 19: Lady Antebellum/Heidi Newfield $8

Monday October 20: Bobby Flay $22

Tuesday October 21: Bucky Covington $5

Wednesday October 22: Rodney Atkins $11.50

Thursday October 23: Mario $16.50

Friday October 24: Skillet/ Leeland $8

Saturday October 25: Joe Nichols $11.50

Sunday October 26: Montgomery Gentry $31.50

While I don't want to offend any country music fans out there. It seems the people booking these acts for the fair could consider some other types of music besides country.

I have always enjoyed the concerts at the Dorton Arena during the state fair. Each year there is a concert that I want to see. This year they have a pretty good line up. I plan to attend the Jason Aldean show and I might try to see Joe Nichols.

trafalgerfountain: I assume your comment was in response to all of the country music acts. You do not have to listen to country music to be classified as a redneck and just because you do listen to country music that does not automatically put you in the catagory of redneck either. It think it is based more so your actions that what you listen to.

Sad. Why can't we ever get any decent acts at the fair ? Not EVERYONE who attends is a redneck.
