Mystery meat under the microscope

Posted October 3, 2008

Some ambitious photographer took it upon himself to get some up-close-and-personal shots of various packaged meat products.

From salami to hot dogs, wait until you see what's really in there.  These photos are on a site called "Natural News," so I'm sure it's part of an agenda.  But when you're confronted with a perfectly burned Oscar Meyer weiner  -- are you really going to give it a second thought?

I didn't think so.

Subway has a "mystery meat" for one of their $5.00 Sub deals.
When I asked the sandwich maker to explain what type of meat it was, she was not sure, so,...hmmm... I opted to spend more money and get real turkey breast...!

How absolutely revolting!! Although, one might say that this is quite the unique form of art. Still, it gives me the heebie jeebies.
