5. Deborah Norville stopped by the WRAL studios this week. She was in town looking at colleges with her son. The “Inside Edition” host chatted with WRAL’s Debra Morgan.
4. Janet Jackson was hospitalized in Montreal after falling “suddenly ill” on Monday shortly before her scheduled concert there. She was released two hours after she arrived. No word on her why she was admitted.
3. Actor Paul Newman passed away at the age of 83. He was a cultural icon and will be missed by many.
