Watching time pass

Posted June 16, 2008

This amazing world clock gives you a new way to see how time passes.

It uses estimates to show how 2008 is shaping up in many different ways -- births, deaths, energy production, food consumption, crime and much more.  Who knows how accurate it is?  But it's interesting to watch.

As I write this at 7:04 a.m., the national debt stands at $9,430,781,280,502.  Click on "More" on the clock site to see the current stats for the national debt.   How much has it changed?

This is very interesting to watch, but why is the earth rotating in the wrong direction in the graphic?

What is depressing about the world clock is when you look at oil and how much we have. According to the world clock we have over 15,000 days worth of oil and yet they feel the need to charge so much!!! That is over 40 years of oil!!! Of course if people find alternate means to get to work and other places you may see that number start to increase!
