Weekend Music Picks (May 16-18)

There's a lot of great shows going on this weekend. Tonight is The Bleeding Hearts CD release party at The Pour House. Local favories The Cartridge family are playing at the Cave, and Nathan Oliver and Sweater Weater are playing at Broad Street Cafe as part of their 4th annual Pin Projekt which sells bowling pins decorated by artists to support the Troika Music festival.

If you're an art fan Artsplosure is tomorrow in downtown Raleigh. They're going to have two stages up with family friendly music and tons of arts and crafts to buy (and make!). If you've never been to Artsplosure it's tons of fun, and free which makes it all the better. The Pour House on Moore's Square is also holding Inslosure at the same time if you need to get out of the heat. They have Snake Oil Medicine Show playing tomorrow night if you want to stick around after the festival. Southern Culture on the Skids is also playing at the Cat's Cradle Saturday night.
