Heh heh, Yeah, I caught that on History Channel's 'Modern Marvels: Engineering Disasters' this past Saturday. Windoc is being cut down for use as a barge and all the bridges on that canal are now centrally controlled from a constantly monitored control center.

That's the 2001 collision between the bulk carrier "Windoc" and a vertical lift bridge over the Welland Canal. If you watch it a couple times, you'll notice that the bridge deck is coming down while the ship is passing underneath. The Marine Investigation Report concluded, "it is likely that the [vertical lift bridge] operator's performance was impaired while the bridge span was lowered onto the Windoc."
