I'm a political junkie, so this is my kind of day!
Everyone celebrates the great presidents today -- Washington, Lincoln, etc. But I think I'll celebrate the forgettable presidents. Let's remember all of those guys with the big sideburns in the 19th century.
To mark the occasion, here are a couple of neat sites. First, The Living Room Candidate is a production of the Museum of the Moving Image. You can watch campaign TV commercials from elections ranging from Eisenhower-Stevenson in 1952 to Bush-Kerry in 2004.
Second, how do you rate the presidents? There are lots of opinions, so I thought I'd just link to the Wikipedia article that collects a range of presidential ratings.
How do you rank the presidents? Your favorites? Your least favorites? I know it's kind of hard to avoid, but let's try not to turn this into a blue-faced political screamfest. Be nice to one another and support your answers. (This section is worth 15 points.)
UPDATE: You can vote on your favorite modern president in the Related Links area!
