Find Your Spot

I'm a native North Carolinian.  I was born in the old Rex Hospital in Raleigh (Newcomers, did you know there was an old one?).  I love this state and I love Raleigh.  I don't plan on moving.

But if I did, where would I want to live?  I love Nashville, TN.  When you're out of things to do, you can always head down to Broadway for good live music.  Arizona is beautiful.  The red rocks around Sedona are stunning.  I think I'd dry out, though.  I'd feel perfectly at home anywhere in New England.  New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine are beautiful.  I'd have to learn how to deal with miserable, long winters.

There are good and bad points to every place.  So, a site called FindYourSpot.com aims to find your perfect home.  You fill out a questionnaire about what you want in a hometown.  It spits out a list of your best matches.

My top 10 matches:

  • Norfolk
  • Houston
  • Greenville, SC (A very nice town)
  • Charleston, SC
  • Nashville (!)
  • Oklahoma City
  • Knoxville, TN (Another neat city)
  • Augusta, GA
  • Biloxi-Gulfport, MS
  • Memphis, TN

I've only been to three of those cities, so I have some traveling to do!

What are your matches?  DId anyone have Raleigh in their list?  The closest I got was Charlotte (No. 13 on my list).

Raleigh on my list, Durham, Charlotte, Port Charlotte in Florida. Lot's of Virginia places. Pretty cool.

I actually got Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill on my list! I live in Durham and work in Chapel Hill so maybe I'm right where I'm suppose to be.
