Mr. Wiki

Posted July 13, 2007

We all know about Wikipedia, but what do you know about Jimmy Wales, the man behind it?  Here's a very interesting profile in this month's Reason magazine.

Wikipedia has fundamentally changed the way we use the Web.  How often have you been in a situation where someone asks a question, no one knows the answer, so you Google it and end up reading a Wikipedia entry?  Now, that's a modern marvel.

How much do you rely upon Wikipedia?  Have you ever edited an entry?

I use Wikipedia a lot, it is a modern marvel to Google a subject and always find a wiki on it.

Hey Brian- I use Wikipedia alot. Actually interesting note- if one of my teachers finds it wrong on Wikipedia he will void that homework question (and then corrects it of course). But I probably would have not passes science class without wikipedia.
