Alright, you fonts of creativity.  It's time to put those video editing skills to work!

On the Web, you can be a consumer and a producer.  I see your work on YouTube!  You take those home videos, throw them into Final Cut or Windows Movie Maker and edit them into TV/Web magic!

We want you to use those skills for WRAL.com.  We've got a contest, giving you a chance to make your own WRAL.com promo.  Now, you won't get rich doing this.  You'll only get the satisfaction of a job well done -- and the fame that goes along with featuring your video on WRAL.com.

If your promo is really good, we might run it during WRAL News at 6 p.m., when a whole lot of people are watching -- when more than 100,000 households are tuning in.

We've got all the details on this page.  The simple rules:

  • It has to be exactly 30 seconds long.
  • You can download the WRAL.com logo and animation here.
  • Upload your QuickTime movie, Windows Media file or MPEG file to our video sharing section.  Be sure to put yoru name and e-mail address in the description field of the upload form.

We've also done a little video with our weary promo guy, Hugh.

So, get to those timelines and start rendering!
