TV Reporter Turns Tables

Posted June 14, 2007

A reporter with WCAU-TV, the NBC station in Philadelphia, is turning the tables on a real heel.

Lu Ann Cahn is the reporter.  Her housesitter invited over a friend, local comedian Peter Goldman, one day while Cahn was away.  He rummaged through Cahn's personal stuff -- including her underwear drawer.

How do we know all of this?  Goldman talked about it on a radio show!

Cahn decided to get photographer and visit the guy's house.  His dad answered the door at the apartment.  Goldman wasn't there, but dad let the crew inside his son's room!  She showed it all on the news.

Oh, Steve, here's the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentos_eruption

Here's the deal, Steve. You need one (1) pack of Mentos and one (1) bottle of Diet Coke -- any size will do. In my limited testing, you must use Diet Coke. Open the Diet Coke, drop a Mento or two in the bottle and stand back! It's like a predictable Old Faithful.

OK. So there is a cultural gap probably caused by age going on here, but exactly what can one do with Diet Coke and Mentos? The possibilities seem interesting, but I want to make sure before I involve myself in something akin to a snipe hunt or watermelon roast.

Nice story of turnabout's fair play. I still say Diet Coke and Mentos would add a touch of class to this story.
