And he might HAVE illegally obtained it. In that case, I'd like to know where the person he got it from got it from. And so on and so on. Somewhere down the line, the gun was "legally" owned. That's the way it works, and is why the easy access to guns in our society is causing so many problems.

Always looking for something/someone to blame things on. Incapable of holding people responsible for their actions.

I agree and would love to hear more about where the gun came from. In NC it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to purchase a handgun. So, who's gun was it? Did he buy it or borrow it or steal it? Was it just lying around? If so, who left it unsecured so that a teenager had access? Where did he get the ammunition? Seems the media doesn't focus much on illegally obtained firearms because that seems to help emphasize the point that the criminals don't pay attention to gun laws anyway (kind of like they don't pay attention to narcotics laws either).

Me too. I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts, that it was illegally obtained. You are just hoping it was lying around his dwelling, so you can go on another anti-gun rant. I am not focused on on the where, nearly as much as the why. Either way, this HUMAN is the one who needs to be blamed. The HUMAN, needs to be locked away for good. Of course that didn't happen here, since we know he is already out. I will also bet that they didn't let the gun out on bail. Criminal goes free, while metal object is melted down and killed forever. Great world you want for us Hans. Great world.

I'd rather know where he got the gun.

I would classify this felon as a MAN! Where did this "TEEN" getthe money to post a 50,000 bond? Why was the bond so low, he could be a flight risk, with what he i facing. Although I doubt that he will get any real prison time
