A 53-year-old Enfield man was arrested and charged Sunday with sex crimes involving a juvenile.

<b>ENFIELD, N.C.</b> — A 53-year-old Enfield man was arrested and charged Sunday with sex crimes involving a juvenile.

Samuel Ellis Richardson is charged with indecent liberties with a child, second-degree sexual offense and false imprisonment. Richardson allegedly committed sexual acts against a juvenile who was held against their will, the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said.

Richardson was placed in the Halifax County jail under a $125,000 bond. His next scheduled court appearance is March 18.
