— Two men forced their way into a store on McPherson Church Road early Monday and tied up a female employee inside, Fayetteville police said Wednesday.

The woman told investigators that she was opening the store at about 6:45 a.m. when two masked men ran toward her. She said she tried to get inside and lock the door behind her, but the men pushed their way inside.

The men then chased her to the back of the store, tied her to a storage shelf and put tape over her eyes and mouth, police said. She told investigators that at least one of the men fondled her.

It was unclear whether the men took anything from the business.

Another store employee called police.

Well, I have lived in this area for almost 2 years, and I have heard nothing but bad come out of Fayetteville. I will make sure that I don't need to go there for any reason. I hope the victim gets her justice.

Anyone know what kind of store this was? Was it a conv store? Was it an ABC store? Was it Toys-R-Us?

  • Skywatch_NC Feb 23, 2011

Nobody has made light of this situation.

It's because some folks like myself earlier either posted or reported to a mod about some disparaging remarks, dugmeister.

trying to find the comments where folks are making 'light' of this situation. Some people just like to 'preach' to others I guess. Is this 'pre-emptive' preaching. get over yourself. Nobody has made light of this situation.

For anyone to supposely make light of this situation tells me that they have some real issues that they themselves need to deal with soon.
This was a very sad situation for this young lady. And with prayer she will become better and back (hopefully) to her old self.
As to the lady that had the wallet stolen---I think maybe the police should look into that case and this one closer.
If they are related, then these men need to be found very soon.
Seems that their crimes are escalating to something worst.
First they rob, and you don't see them. Then they rob, tie up the victim and fondle them. Now they have gotten brave enough to touch the victims. Next will be something worst. Like a rape or murder.
I hope anyone who saw two men walking that early in the morning near that store let's the police know what they saw. It could be helpful; you never know.

This place is one block over from where I work and the previous Monday someone came into my business, found my purse and stole my wallet. It's getting bad over here. I hope that poor lady can recover.

Aaah, "wildcat", who was making light of it and thinking it was funny? Someone there with you?

  • cariannestanley Feb 23, 2011

Creeps - at least she wasn't killed.

  • wildcat Feb 23, 2011

HORRIBLE! For someone to make light of this and think it is funny you have mental issues. I do hope the girl will be OK in time. Where there cameras around that store and in. Hopefully they will catch these criminals and soon. They are a danger to society and will do this again.
