Eight people forced to leave apartments after east Raleigh fire
Eight people were forced to leave their homes after an apartment fire in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Eight people were forced out of their homes Monday after an apartment fire in east Raleigh.
Before 1:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment complex on Donald Ross Drive near New Bern Avenue and Poole Road.
At least one man was being treated for smoke inhalation. There were no serious injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
