Efland Man's Death Called Homicide

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday was investigating the death of an Efland man as a homicide.

EFLAND, N.C. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday was investigating the death of an Efland man as a homicide.

Charles Lloyd, of Bushy Cook Road, was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill early Monday and later died, authorities said.

Medical workers thought Lloyd died from "blunt force trauma to his head," according to the Sheriff's Office.

Investigators are interviewing persons of interest in the case but said they have specific leads or suspects at this time.
