RALEIGH, N.C. — Ed Sheeran was surprised with a very cute visit from the SPCA of Wake County during his Saturday concert at the PNC Arena.

According to the SPCA of Wake County, the "Shape of You" singer is a big animal lover and dad to two cats of his own. Since Curtis Media, which owns Pulse FM, has been a long-time partner with the SPCA of Wake County, they contacted the SPCA to ask about bringing some kitties along to surprise Sheeran during his backstage interview.

This media cannot be viewed right now.

According to the SPCA, somebody spilled the beans about kittens being in the hallway before the interview, and Sheeran ran out to meet them!

The kittens, named Caspian and Lil’ Possum, are up for adoption at the SPCA and serve as a reminder of the many dogs and cats in need of homes this year.
