Easy Experiment: Stab a potato with a straw
Beth Harris, a long-time science educator, will be sharing easy experiments that families can do at home. This one requires just a potato and a straw.

In addition to making the Fort Kits, Harris also is a long-time science educator. I thought it would be fun for her to share a few easy experiments that families can do at home with things that you probably have around the house.
We'll start today with this one which requires only a potato and a plastic straw. Watch the video to see how it's done. It's a fun way to learn all about air pressure. Harris' website has more science activities.
