Roadwork planned for sections of I-85 in Greensboro and Hillsborough

Greensboro, N.C. — The The N.C. Department of Transportation issued a special alert for motorists Friday.
The eastbound lanes of I-85 will be closed at exit 212 in Greensboro.
Crews are repairing the roadway beginning at 11 p.m. Friday.
The lanes should reopen at 12 p.m. Saturday.
Motorists traveling around Greensboro and points east will use I-73 South to 1-85 North as a detour.
Rolling roadblocks threaten to slow traffic in Hillsborough Sunday.
The Hillsborough Police Department will stop traffic in both directions of I-85 at exit 164 for 15-20 minute periods between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.to allow Duke Energy to install power cables over the road.
Motorists traveling through this area should expect to see delays and are encouraged to allow additional travel time to reach their destination.
