You have until midnight, Wednesday, to take advantage of early registration for the Big Muddy Challenge, the first big parent and child obstacle race in the Triangle.

Right now, more than 930 participants are signed up to run the two-mile obstacle course, which involves running through water and mud, mounting giant hay bales and more, founder Adam Spisak tells me. It takes place at Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville and is designed for kids ages 6 to 12 and their adults.

For more about the race, read my earlier post. To sign up and learn more, check the website.

Spisak also tells me that they could use about five more volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering, contact him at raceday@bigmuddychallenge.com.
