Where this occured there was a cross walk, and a stop light, only thing is this light never changes is is allways green for MLK traffic and if you are coming off of Chavis Way there isn't even a traffic light hanging up! Just the ones facing MLK traffic! Why is this! Anyone in the area know what Im talking about

Shucks, I see folks just sauntering across the Durham Freeway all the time! ...and yes, it does seem they expect drivers to avoid them.

Most people I see, crossing the road downtown, walk slowly and EXPECT the cars to see them and almost stop. With that lazy and stubborn atitude, I'm not surprised when I hear of these accidents.

Have you ever sat at the light at Blount street to turn on to MLK - AKA Western Blvd downtown? People jaywalk like crazy.

Streets are for cars. Stay out of them w/o one.

Is it just me or are there an alarming number of pedestrians being struck and killed these days?
