Durham woman wanted on identity theft charges

Police were searching Friday for a Durham woman wanted on several identity theft and fraud charges.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police were searching Friday for a Durham woman wanted on several identity theft and fraud charges.

Jamie Lynn King, 31, is charged with four counts of obtaining property by false pretense, two counts of financial card theft and one count each of identity theft, possession of stolen goods, forgery and uttering a forged instrument.

Police said King stole credit cards and used them to make numerous purchases. She is also accused of using a check that was stolen in Cary.

King frequents the areas of Whitt Road and Windermere Drive, police said.
