DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for information about a shooting that happened Sunday night on Delbert Avenue.

Several people, including two 3-year-olds, were inside an apartment in the 4200 block of Delbert Avenue when several shots were fired shortly after 11 p.m.

An 18-year-old woman who was inside the apartment was shot twice in the back. She was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Several bullets struck the apartment building, police said. The victims told officers they thought it was a drive-by shooting, but did not provide any descriptions of suspects or vehicles.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator A.M. Sterling at 560-4415, ext. 233 or Crime Stoppers at 683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
