Durham team secures spot in National Science Bowl

A team from Durham's North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics is one of 24 nationwide who will complete in April in the 2014 National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.

DURHAM, N.C. — A team from Durham's North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics is one of 24 nationwide who will complete in April in the 2014 National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.

The National Science Bowl brings together thousands of middle and high school students from across the country to compete in a fast-paced question-and-answer format where they solve technical problems and answer questions on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth and space science, physics and math.

The Science and Math team won their regional competition on Feb. 23.
