Durham Streets to Close for Repairs

A portion of Pratt Street near Douglas Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic, starting at 9 a.m. Monday, officials said. 

Douglas Street will also be closed to all vehicle traffic beginning Monday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. Officials said both streets will remain closed until April 2008, in order for the city to re-route a sanitary sewer line and to install a large, storm-water drain pipe.

Local traffic north of the closure should use Crest and Shirley Streets to and from Fulton Street. Traffic south of the closure should use Douglas Street to and from Erwin Road.
