Durham sandwich shop closes after less than year
Wedgie's, which has its flagship location in Southern Pines, opened in February in the Diamond View III building at American Tobacco Campus in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — After being open less than six months, a Durham sandwich shop has closed its doors.
Wedgie's opened in February on the ground floor of the Diamond View III building at the American Tobacco Campus.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Wedgie's Durham location effective Friday, July 28," owners Joe and Cindy Gay wrote in a note posted on the restaurant's front door.
Wedgie's flagship location in Southern Pines remains open.
Capitol Broadcasting Company owns American Tobacco Campus as well as WRAL.
